Instructions
Preheat oven to 350.
Heat 2 tbsp butter on medium-high heat.
Whisk 1/2 cups milk, 4 eggs, 1 tsp vanilla extract, 1 tsp sugar, 1/2 tsp nutmeg and 1/4 tsp salt.
Dip one piece of toast in the egg mixture.
Cook each side for 2 to 3 minutes.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes.
Brown 1/4 cup butter in the skillet on medium-low heat.
Pour butter over french toast.
