Alice Springs Chicken

Ingredients

  • 4 boneless chicken breasts
  • 8 pieces bacon
  • 8 oz mushrooms
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 clove minced garlic
  • 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
  • paprika
  • salt
  • garlic powder
  • black pepper
  • onion powder
  • cayenne pepper
  • celery salt

Instructions

  • Heat skillet with 1 tbsp olive oil and 1 tbsp butter on medium-high heat.
  • Place the chicken breasts in the skillet for 5 minutes.
  • Preheat oven to 375.
  • Flip the chicken breasts and cook for an additional 3 minutes.
  • Season the chicken with paprika, salt, garlic powder, black pepper, onion powder, cayenne pepper and celery salt.
  • Place chicken in the oven for 20 minutes.
  • While the chicken is baking, fry 8 pieces of bacon.
  • Add 1 tbsp butter and 1 clove minced garlic to the same pan as the bacon.
  • Saute 8 oz of mushrooms.
  • When the chicken is baked, top with mushrooms, then bacon and then shredded cheddar cheese.
  • Broil until cheese is melted and bubbly.
